Speed chess: Short vs Kasparov, and teaching chess to children

by Webmaster on June 13, 2013

I recently wrote an article detailing my thoughts on how chess should be taught to children.

I will also embed an entertaining Nigel Short vs Garry Kasparov speech chess game from 1987 (video below).

For those not aware of these players, English Grandmaster Nigel Short has been a World Championship challenger and at his peak was the world number 3. Of course, 13th World Champion and Russian Grandmaster, Garry Kasparov was pretty much the world’s number 1 ranked player from 1986 to 2005. Incidentally Short challenged Kasparov for the Professional Chess Association (PCA) World Championship in 1993.

On a technical note, my blog will now change address to: http://chess-game-improvement.com/
